Cleaning up their transition game will do wonder for this team. Poor passing, awful gap control, guys seemingly not on the same page, especially on zone entries.

The Flyers need to tighten up, and be much more aggressive when they do possess the puck in the other team's end. Too much perimeter play when they were set up, and far too few second chance opportunities.

Things aren't desperate yet, but they need to do a better job. Having to utilize the roster the way they are isn't helping, either. Not a lot of success stories when a team is relying on a 19 year old D-man to basically play 20+ minutes against the opponent's top lines.

The suspension to Weise isn't ridiculous. It was a clear head shot. The issue is the hits they don't or haven't suspended players for in the past.

Yep. Jake Virtanen leveled Roman Polak late, to the head and from the blindside. He got 1 game less than Weise.

as far as I know first suspension for Weise, player wasn't seriously hurt.....3 games seems extreme.

4 games into the season and there are two injuries, two suspensions and currently the only team in the league with a 3 game losing streak.

I think the team will come around esp when MDZ and Gudas get back, but they are a team that is thin in the depth department. If they take a step back into the lottery this year it wouldn't surprise me. I think it was talked about a lot this past summer.

well, losing players to suspension and injuries of the likes of Gudas, MDZ, Laughton, Raffl, now Weise and previously Schenn would hit most teams. I agree there is still work to do but Hextall has this moving in the right direction.
